This is Bill, the blond guy you met in Pau. I think I helped you find a route over the Pyrenees with a trip to the book store here in Pau. I hope that you got over them OK.
Things are picking up here in Pau for the L'Etape du Tour this Sunday (some 8,000 ride a mountain stage of the Tour de France). I rode a loop yesterday that included the epic climb of Tourmalet. It was cook actually climbing through the clouds!
More later on how it goes.

Eric, thanks for all the pics and stories! Both Grandma and I have been checking the blog every day and love to hear what you're doing and seeing. We also read all of Matt's blog entries about your Atlantic crossing. What a great adventure you're having!
